Florida has countles parks that offer glimpses of the Old Florida. Some are in residential or even urban enviromments. this is the Venice Myakka River Park in Venice, It should not be confused with Myakka River State Park (there are several on-line reviews for this park that have made that mistake). This is a small park close to residential developments. It is very accessible with paved trails. Once off those trails one can find views such as this one.

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising.
