Artist's Description

Now that is one happy gator. Just look at that grin. He;s even showing some teeth.

This bog boy (ten foot or so) was across the river when he heard some folks fishing nearby reel in a gar. The splashing signaled lunch to him so he came off the bank into the water and pulled up right in front of the family. Apparently someone had been feeding him and he sees fishermen as a food source.

This is why feeding alligators is illegal in Florida.

This is a wild gator living in Myakka River State Park in Sarasota, Florida.

About Robert Wilder Jr

Robert Wilder Jr

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice. I look forward to your feedback as I am still growing as a photographer and will never be done learning.
