At 514 feet The Hooiberg is not the highest point of Aruba, but because of its location it appears to be. The volcanic formation is in the island nation's center and is visible from just about anyplace on the island. It's name means �haystack in Dutch. This view is from the Casibari rock formation, about a mile north.

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
