Sarasota is a city on Florida's west coast. Since it is on the coast there is a boating element among the population. Sarasota Bay in particular is a gathering point for sailors. Mooring fields have been set up. In this shot the late afternoon sun reflects off the calm waters of the bay. In the background is the Ringling Causeway linking the city with the keys of the coast.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
