Banyan trees are a common sight in parts of Florida. This one is in Sarasota, on the west coast. The trees drop thin tendril that wrap together and form a new trunk once they reach the ground. Old trees can cover a lot of ground and are a favorite of kids that love to climb.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising.
