The Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis is San Juan's best known cemetery. It is the final resting place of many of Puerto Rico's most prominent figures. Construction began in 1863 in the shadow of Castillo de San Felipe del Morro (El Morro). It is a popular site for tourists to visit and is known for its orange colored dome.
The day I took this photo was overcast, but the sun shined on the cemetery leaving the houses of La Perla in shadow.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
