Tampa, Florida is one of a few major cities that still has an operating railway through the heart of the city. Trains run from the Port of Tampa right through downtown, much to the displeasure of local residents that have to listen to train horns in the early morning hours. Measures are in the works to help exempting the trains from federal requirements to sound their horns. this is a section of track not far from the Hillsborough River bridge. Recent maintenance has left dead grass along the rails.

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
