Artist's Description

At the mouth of Egmont Key is Egmont Key, an isolated island. The island is home to a lighthouse, an old fort and a few other buildings. A portion of the small strip of land is set aside as a preserve. The entire island has been disappearing for years. Erosion has been eating away at the shoreline even destroying some buildings. The resulting saltwater intrusion has killed a great number of trees, These dead palm trees line the shoreline.

About Robert Wilder Jr

Robert Wilder Jr

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice. I look forward to your feedback as I am still growing as a photographer and will never be done learning.
