Myakka River State Park is just east of Sarasota, Florida. the park is home to thousands of alligators and they are the park's big draw. Away form the gators, the paved roads and the crowds is Deep Hole, one of the lower lakes. Access to this area is limited and private motor vehicles are not allowed. This is a view of Deep Hole from the edges of a tree line. During the rainy season this area would be under water.

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
