For obvious reasons, couroupita guianensis is better known as a connonball tree. The fruit does resemble cannon balls. The flowers of this tropical tree are both beautiful and fragrant. They are native to the rainforests of Central and South America, though they can be found in many tropical regions where they are cultivated for their beauty.
