Manatees, or sea cows as they are sometimes called, are mammals. Though they spend all their lives in the water they need to breath air and will rise to the surface and stick their nose up to grab a breath of fresh air. That is just what this manatee is doing. His nostrils open wide and he gulps in enough air to keep him going. He was also in the process of eating so a few bites of vegetation float around him.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose.
