A tradition on Stump Pass Beach is to decorate the many dead trees with shells. The park is the victim of erosion and salt water intrusion that has killed a great many of the trees along the pass. Located at the southern end of Manasota Key on Florida's west coast, it is a favorite of locals, boaters and tourists.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
