In Florida we do Christmas different. Our idea of a white Christmas? The sandy beaches of the gulf coast. Jack Frost nipping at our nose? Nope. That white sand between our toes.
We do decorate our trees. They just are not necessarily pines. And our decorations might include seashells and starfish.
Keep your snow. I'm headed to the beach!
This was taken at Stump Pass beach State Park on Florida's west coast. Beach goers have a tradition of decorating the dead trees and stumps with seashells for good luck. This branch has been decorated for Christmas as well.
