Description
Sea oats are an important factor in Florida's efforts to control erosion and protect inland areas from storm surge. The plants slow down wave action and their roots hold sand in place. Plus they make the sunsets a little more interesting. The blue tones give the water a metallic appearance. This colorful photo was taken in Venice, Florida.
