Back before Facebook and the internet we would send postcards to our friends while we were on vacation. They also served as souvenirs of the places we visited. Postcards are still around but they just aren't the same. This entry in my old time postcards is from Cottondale, Florida. Just south of the Alabama border this town has seen better days. The main drag is filled with empty storefronts, but Register's is still open.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice.
