The lighthouse at the south end of Gasparilla Island is a well known landmark.It once warned ships coming into the phosphate docks at the end of the island. The docks were connected to a railway that stretched across the island to the mainland. Now part of a state park, the light is no longer in use, but is still a landmark tourists flock to see.
My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising.
