The CSX Big Manatee Draw allows trains to cross the Manatee River in Bradenton, Florida. The bascule style bridge is automated. abd is normally in the open position When a train approaches sensors on the bridge check for boats before the green lights turn red, a hornm blows and a siren wails as the bridge closes. Once the train has passed the lights flash and the bridge opens. When closed the clearance under the bridge is just five feet.
