The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Fall leaves litter a path into the woods of North Carolina. My family had taken a trip to the mountains for Thanksgiving and spent many hours hiking trails in the cool weather. Quite a switch from the Florida sun. We even saw some snow on this trip.
