Artist's Description

Tropical Storm Hermine (it did not become a hurricane until it had passed us) brought high waves to Stump pass Beach State park in Charlotte County, Florida. The waves created huge piles of shells along the beach. While this was an exciting event for shellers, it was bad news for the park already suffering from years of erosion. The ant in the pic did not seem to mind.

The park is located at the southern tip of Manasota Key in Englewood.

About Robert Wilder Jr

Robert Wilder Jr

My true passion is photography. Since I am not good at drawing or painting photography really lets my creative side loose. Originally from Rochester, New York, I've called Florida home for almost 40 years. Other interests include hiking, traveling and especially cruising. These activities are always finding me new things to photograph. My photographic philosophy is to show people things they pass everyday but never notice. I look forward to your feedback as I am still growing as a photographer and will never be done learning.
